'Sam and Cat,' 'Victorious' and 'iCarly' Reunion Special Reunites Jennette McCrudy and Ariana Grande with Freddie, Robbie and Jade
It was only a matter of time, and now the cast of Victorious and iCarly are reuniting for a one-hour special episode of Sam and Cat. The duel show spin-off will bring Sam (Jennette McCurdy) and Cat (Ariana Grande) back together with there old friends, Freddie (Nathan Kress), Robbie (Matt Bennett) and Jade (Liz Gillies).
On October 24, actress Jennette McCrudy posted a Vine titled, "Guess who's guest starring on this Sam & Cat special!!" In the Vine, McCrudy comically mixes up Liz Gillies and Nathan Kress. McCrudy also lampoons actor Matt Bennett by calling him Andy Samberg, a frequent joke in Victorious.
J-14 is reported on the episode's plot, citing a summery:
"When Sam meets Cat's friend Jade from Hollywood Arts, Sam and Jade become friends, leaving Cat feeling a little left out. Taking some questionable advice from Nona, Cat decides to retaliate by 'stealing' a friend of Sam's--and it's Freddie Benson! As Cat tries to get cozy with Freddie, Sam finds out and goes after a friend of Cat's--Robbie Shapiro! The jealousy comes to a crashing climax at Fisherman's Wharf, where Dice has hired Sam to jump her motorcycle over a tank full of vicious man-biting tuna."
That's not the only reunion the show has planned. In an upcoming episode, the gang reunites the stars of the classic 70's sitcom Laverne & Shirley. The Sam and Cat Wiki offers a synopsis for the episode, titled ''#SalmonCat."
"Sam and Cat are ordered to rename their babysitting business because it's too similar to Salmon Cat, a TV show from the '70s. Sam and Cat must track down the show's two original creators (played by Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams) and resolve their three decade-long feud."
There is no known air date for the Sam and Cat one-hour reunion special, The episode entitled, "#SalmonCat" will air on November 9.
